For all you wanna be and ex fashion interns make sure you have your own style, and you’re sure of it because your boss is watching. American fashion designer, Adam Lippes said it’s hard to find an intern with good style. He said he looks to bloggers and stylish people on the street to find good style. I agree with that; some of the most stylish people I know aren’t in fashion, but instead are artists or photographers, the people behind the scene. He went on to say, “It’s rare to find an intern – especially one from a fashion school – that has good style. Because they try sooo hard, and it never works! You know?” Yes we do know Adam. Good thing I blog and don’t go to a fashion school.
Meanwhile, Nina Garcia, fashion director of Marie Claire, states that her interns have great style over at her magazine, whether on TV or not (remember Running In Heels?). Some of her advice, “we have a lot of interns, and I can tell you. Tip for the interns: Please take notice. We do notice what you wear.” And that they do. So future fashionista’s, take care of yourself because you never know who’s watching, and if you ever happen to intern with Adam Lippes, don’t try too hard.
