Yesterday was Anna Wintour's birthday and she got the best gift of all, she was named to the President’s Committee on Arts & Humanities. The committee consists of 24 others including Sarah Jessica Parker, Forest Whitaker, Yo-Yo Ma, and Edward Norton. There were rumors earlier this year she was leaving Vogue in order to work at the White House, but now the truth is here. Wintour did campaigning for Obama during his election and even had Michelle Obama on the cover of Vogue (which now seems like a popular trend). The “committee focuses on arts and humanities education, cultural diplomacy, economic revitalization through the arts and humanities and special events dedicated to recognizing excellence in these areas,” according to Mediabistro.com. This should be interesting.
