I get my daily emails from Bergdorf Goodman and these mesh-cuff Balmain sandals arrived in my inbox. I wish I had them for this weekend...damn. Another problem is they're $1,195 lol.
SMH. I can't deal with Balmain. I don't understand where they are getting their price points from? Is it the fabrics they are using? Do they just KNOW certain customers are going to spend $2,000 on jeans, $1,625 for a ripped shirt, or possibly $5,000 for a ripped button down?? I don't get, but I'd love to know.
I showed yall the foolishness that was the $2,000 pair of jeans. But I got over it, moved on, and found other WTF moments in my life. But now Balmain is back in my life getting on my nerves. And this time with a cotton, ripped up, T-SHIRT, that costs $1,625. Really. I'm offended. And on top of that, who is buying this stuff? I don't care how much money I have, (well maybe if I had Warren Buffett money) I can't see myself buying a $1,625 t-shirt that's ripped to shreds. It better be made from the cotton that Jesus wore when he hung from the cross, that's all I'm saying.
Why the hell are you making jeans that cost $2,051? Do you not know it's a recession. Not only that, but your jeans are not bomb enough for you to be throwing out random prices to put on the tag. Hell no. I'm offended. Actually, we're all offended.
Sincerely,
The American Public
P.S. I want a list of any idiot who buys these. I have a few words for them.
Balmain, Balmain, Balmain. What more can I say? Christophe Decarnin put on a spectacular show with his glamorous Balmain line. Strong shoulders were definitely the highlight, followed by royal purples, sequins, and booby teasers (yes I just made that up). So goregous, LOVE!
Zara is Balmain-borrowing with these limited edition '1000 Numbered Edition" Sandals now available at 45 Zara stores. They wanted to make these exclusive so they stamped a serial number on the bottom and put them in a specially designed box. The shoes are going for $229, which is kind of high for the store. I don't know if I would dish out that much money for some shoes that don't look that great. But the Zara groupies will probably be out there in full force.
